In another showing of how our United States Government is so on top of things, a bill was passed yesterday. A bill that was in such demand and need that it could not wait. Yup, you guessed it. They extended the digital signal conversion. "Consumer advocates had argued that millions of Americans – most notably low-income and needy – would be left out in the cold if the deadline were not extended" Thankfully our congress acted quick. Whew.. dodged a bullet.

Fortunately they got this done before any stimulus bills, energy bills or military funding bills passed. Important things first!

They did that right along with cutting the education funding so that is right now the teachers are getting screwed, but don't worry we will be able to watch tv until june. I love the ass party they are the best!

I for one am glad they did this Bryan! I have an old 13" B&W TV that I have to use Bunny Ears to get a signal. When it rains I sometimes pick up Soviet Television Stations. SO just because you live in your fancy schmancy world with your high class HDTV 80" plasma screens doesn't mean that us po' folk don't need quick and immediate Congressional decision making!!!!

I second Amy's comments! I've been watching my grandpa's tv. If it was good enough for him, it's good enough for me!

They better figure out a way to keep my bunny ears or I'm going to move to Mexico!

I for one am supportive of this move by congress. I have been paying careful attention to the digital conversion on my analog TV. I went to one of those futuristic stores called Sam's, I think. The words were in digital on top of the store and I had not converted yet. But suffice it to say, it was a store right out of one of those picture shows they have at the drive-in. I spoke to an intelligent young man named Vinnie. He was very polite and helpful despite the repetitive terms " dude" and "sweet" that he used. He assured me that I would be okay because his hero, the president, would not allow a travesty to take place on his watch. He assured me that I would always use my bunny ears to get the late breaking local news with Carla Aragon. I feel very proud and safe being an analog American today. Obama and Vinnie forever.
