TUCSON, Ariz. -- Arizona coach Lute Olson has retired after 25 years with the Wildcats.

"This was not a decision that was made lightly," Olson said in statement. "I've had a wonderful run at The University of Arizona. I leave with a great sense of pride in what we have accomplished here."

Let us Mourn! I'm speechless.....

A decision not made lightly? Yeah right! Doesn't seem like he even thought this through. Plus, wouldn't you want to leave on a high note??? Maybe win the next go round and then quit?

I am disappointed to say the least. And now I am just so glad you named Jacob, Jacob Thomas instead of Lute Thomas like I suggested. Although I thought Luke and Lute would be nice...Now I'm glad you went with Jacob instead.

My condolences Bryan. I'm so sorry for your loss. Is there anything I can do for you during this difficult time?

My world has just crashed. The mighty Casey has struck out.
What are we suppose to do now? We have nothing to look forward to. Oh Lute, Oh Lute, why has thou betrayed us?

You should see our paper today, it was filled with the news about Lute Olson, front page and sports pages! I really felt he should have resigned when his first wife died, he just hasn't been the same and I can understand that! But then he ran right out and got married again and that has been a disaster from the word go! Now they have been going through a really messy divorce, we haer all about it! It's just sad!!!
