It's a spoof.
So, since I have in-law readers on my blog, I will respond to you on yours. Of course, it was Bear Lake Alaska! But if, not saying that I was, in Utah, and with my most favorite, particular, possessive, controlling, martyr-type mother-in-law, I highly doubt she would have let us have a minute away from her ever-scheduled, over-priced family reunion to see my most favorite, coolest, considerate and forgiving cousins in the whole world!
I see. Hypothetically speaking, if it was the Bear Lake in Utah I would be able to forgive since, Hypothetically, I am a forgiving type. Luckily it was in Alaska, so we never have to mention this again.
